JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of Business Development Director is to identify, qualify, develop, cultivate, and ultimately close opportunities for new business.
This requires attendance at various events as a representative of the company, the facilitation of resources that effectively deliver presentations, and the creation of proposals based on business drivers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Generates new business by achieving or exceeding annual quota.
Manage existing customer base and book of business - by maintaining a strong pipeline and providing key relationship based management for retention.
Manages and generates strong pipeline through prospecting and collaboration with Sales and/or Marketing.
Attends trade shows and/or works with Inside Sales and Marketing to identify new leads/opportunities.
Leverages up-to-date industry knowledge, trends, compliance, and relevant marketing content to increase the effectiveness of CSI’s value presentation to increase close ratios.
Stays abreast of industry trends for prospect engagement purposes.
Collaborates with various groups such as Marketing to increase the CSI brand awareness within assigned territory, Sales or current client base for revenue exploration and opportunities.
PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING
Meet or exceed annual quota.
Continuous pipeline development to support year-over-year improvement
Increase ongoing close percentages over time.
Accountable for annual recurring revenue and total contract value in an assigned geographic territory.
Ongoing relationship with customers signed up as well as developing relationships with top accounts to identify additional revenue opportunities and references.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certifications:
Education or job knowledge equivalent to a college or university undergraduate education.
Experience:
The minimum amount of relevant work and/or industry experience required to successfully perform the job is at least two (2) years.
Sales experience, required.
Sales knowledge regarding the Cisco, Microsoft, IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity space, preferred.
Highly regulated industry knowledge, preferred.
Engagement and negotiation with C-Levels and leadership, preferred.
