RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a rail yard.
Train new employees on proper safety procedures and equipment operation
Developing a relationship with personnel and external logistics parties
Maintain thorough documentation of materials and coordinating with accounting and external logistics parties.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping the yard organized, free of debris, and in compliance with company safety standards.
Inspect equipment and machinery on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning and identify any necessary repairs or replacements.
Monitor production levels and adjust staffing and schedules as needed to meet demands.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
Associate degree or higher preferred.
Basic Computer skills required.
5+ Years work experience in:
Logistics operations planning/scheduling.
Team management/supervision and scheduling.
Experience in a biofuels or ethanol plant is a plus.
PHYISICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work in various climates as needed.
Ability to bend, stand, and climb ladders as well as lift up to 50 pounds.
Use of PPE required.
