What You'll Do
Responsible for direct leadership of the Enterprise Interface function at the Pantex Plant including the development of personnel within assigned organizations to ensure technical competence and a thorough understanding of safety, quality, and security aspects of the job.
The Enterprise Interface Function includes leadership of the Procurement Engineering, Engineering Services Subcontracts, and Software Engineering & Automation Management functions supporting all of Mission Engineering.
Formulates tasks and projects, within an appropriate range of complexity, to encourage professional development and technical expertise for each assigned group.
Responsible for developing plans to achieve tasks and goals established by the Engineering Technical Operations Senior Director and the Vice-President of Mission Engineering.
Conducts personal effectiveness appraisals and performance appraisals and recommends promotions & adjustments of immediate subordinates as well as participating in the overall appraisals of the Engineering Technical Operations organization.
Responsible for ensuring an adequate talent pool base among subordinates and evaluating/developing the capability of individuals.
Leads development of long-range staffing plans and strategies and analyzes the impact of mission changes on personnel.
Determines programmatic objectives and requirements, and recommends procedural improvements for assigned programs.
The candidate will possess demonstrated outstanding people skills, with the ability to energize, organize, and lead groups of engineering personnel.
The ability to present complex data & other material to senior CNS Leadership is imperative.
The selected candidate must have the ability to evaluate engineering personnel for performance reviews, promotions, and merits.
The candidate will demonstrate an ability to lead under and propagate a values-based culture including Integrity, Trust, Teamwork, and Excellence with a focus on the CNS imperatives of "Safe, Secure, Zero Defects, & Deliver as Promised".

Minimum 7 years of management experience.
Twenty or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
The minimum of relevant management experience cannot be supplemented.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering (from an ABET-accredited institution), Architectural, or one of the Physical Sciences.
Demonstrated success in leading complex engineering projects/teams (cost and schedules) is required for this position.
The leadership duties cover employees at both locations and routine presence at both plants is required to fulfill the job duties of the position.
On-site colocation with counterparts and customers as well as coordination with management and organization interfaces is required.
Candidates must be willing to spend time at each plant.
Travel reimbursement in accordance with government contract requirements will be provided.
In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.
