RESTAURANT MANAGER
Managers are responsible for the overall daily operations of the restaurant, and are classified as exempt salaried personnel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, personnel management, daily sales reports, money handling, safety, security, purchasing and guest satisfaction.
Managers are responsible for the profitability and inventory of their assigned department.
Essential Functions:
Operations:
Oversees food preparation, presentation, quality, freshness, and consistency.
Knows recipes and plate presentations, including LTOs, to ensure proper ordering and timely feedback and training to the staff.
Adheres to all rules and regulations of all governing bodies.
Is responsible for the confidentiality of restaurant information and systems.
Holds consistent pre-shift, departmental, safety, and staff meetings.
Participates in strategies for marketing, promotions and advertising.
Keeps all equipment in safe working condition.
Keeps building, office and safe secure at all times.
Accurately completes all opening, closing, and monthly procedures and paperwork.
Participates in scheduling of assigned department
Participates in ordering.
Updates communication tools daily.
Controls expenses and costs.
Must learn, use and program POS system (Aloha) and data capture charge machine
Must learn, use and program Hot Schedules, TalentReef, Paylocity and C2it.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must learn to operate all restaurant equipment
Responsible to ensure petty cash, bar banks and income received is recorded and deposited within company standards.
Staff Development:
Holds team accountable to systems.
Teaches standards of personal hygiene and safety.
Maintains a healthy and respectful environment, including, but not limited to, mutual respect and adherence to all discrimination policies and company standards.
Directs and assists in the training of employees.
Conducts candidate interviews, hires and conducts onboarding orientation.
Executes annual evaluation of store staff within assigned department.
Executes disciplinary actions for assigned department in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
Consults with General Manager as appropriate.
Terminates employees, when necessary and in accordance with company policy.
Consults with General Manager prior to termination.
Provides an excellent work environment that protects the rights of employees.

Work Schedule:
As an exempt salaried position, there will be occasions in which additional work time is required.
On that occasion; beyond a regular work schedule, no additional comp time is accrued.
Work schedule includes, but is not limited to, approximately 50 hours a week including weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands:
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, lifting, bending, and stooping, as well as frequent stair climbing.
Must be able to work in congested areas
Must be able to occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds to put up truck deliveries
Must be able to withstand continuous walking, standing, bending and climbing stairs
Smoking is not permitted

Preferred, bachelors degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food service management or any related field.
