Responsibilities: For more than 50 years, Northwest Behavioral Health has provided mental health treatment to individuals from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado.
Located on the campus of Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas, we offer behavioral health treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and uniformed service members.
Our facility has 6 inpatient units with 106 beds.
Additional services we offer include 24 hours a day free behavioral health assessments, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient mental health and substance use programs, clinic-based psychiatry and therapy services.
New service offerings coming in 2021 include ECT, virtual reality exposure therapy, bio neurofeedback and CBT-I for insomnia.

com/careers POSITION SUMMARY: The House Supervisor functions under the supervision of the Department Director, supports clinical activities and special projects of the department; and in collaboration with the Charge Nurse coordinates the throughput of inpatient units and coordinatesthe off-hour operations of nursing.
Supports organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
PROVISION OF SERVICES: Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources, as needed.
Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
The House Supervisor will assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precautions.
The House Supervisor will comply with appropriate and approved standards, as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies.
The House Supervisor will comply with safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self, co-workers, patients, and visitors.
The concepts of the patient centered care delivery model will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

Current license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas 2.
BSN required 3.
3 years of hospital RN experience required 4.
2 or more years of supervisory experience 5.
Must have current BLS certification upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
