*Affiliated Foods, Inc.
*is seeking a highly qualified Food Safety Manager to make a significant impact on Affiliated’s operations and contribute to the commitment of delivering safe and high-quality groceries to its’ members stores.
Prefer a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Retail Grocery Industry with food processing operations knowledge a plus.
Position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Food Safety programs.
Must be PCQI and HACCP Certified (Seafood HACCP and/or SQF Practitioner certified a plus).
Must have extensive knowledge of General Safety Principles/Food Safety, cGMPs and HACCP.
*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
· Managing and executing Food Safety (FS) programs
· Maintaining and recording required certifications
· Serving as the Food Safety liaison to federal, state and local regulatory agencies
· Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies, as well as industry standards
· Conducting regular audits/inspections to ensure the effectiveness of food safety
· Completing and maintaining audits/inspections accurately
· Tracking status of audit/inspection recommendations
· Updating policies/procedures and documentation as needed to remain in compliance
· Training new hires in food safety practices and requirements
· Providing continued education to employees regarding food safety as required
· Coordinating and conducting annual food safety meetings with warehouse operations
· Assisting new vendors with compliance requirements through the ReposiTrak system
· Supervising a dept of two employees
Must be meticulous with excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
Must be able to multi-task and efficiently complete assignments in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Must be self- motivated, self-directed, able to work independently as well as a team.
Must display a prominent level of professionalism, confidentiality and competent customer service in order to communicate with various levels of management within Affiliated Foods, including its’ subsidiaries, buyers, vendors, member stores, distributors, auditors, etc.
Bi-lingual a plus.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Extensive data entry and ten-key by touch with accuracy in numbers.
Will work under the direction of the Chief Operator Officer and complete all other assigned duties as instructed.
